Hi, Iām Jasmine
My current work revolves around color and observation of the natural world. All of my pieces start with a vibrant and meaningful color story. Once I uncover a color combination that interests me, I spend time observing the subtleties of nature though taking walks or visiting old photos. The growth patterns of leaves, small textures in tree bark, or the way sunlight filters through mist in the early morning may catch my attention and inspire a painting.
My style is influenced by the Impressionist and Art Nouveau movements, but takes on quirks that are uniquely my own. I work primarily with acrylic paint and gouache but will also venture into mixed media such as colored pencil or paper collage. I find great beauty and joy in what the natural world provides, and hope that people viewing my art are able to enjoy the same subtle elegance, from anywhere in the world.
